Why I love Detroit: recycling

I have been wanting to start a blog about Detroit for sometime now. There have been so many times where I have been stunned in a really good way by what is happening around me.

I have wanted to share with others the great things that get to see in the everyday Detroit. I know this will not stop the naysayers that are so intent on deriding Detroit, but this is not about them. This is about all of the others that live here that make this city such a rich, rich place to live... So! Here it is! In a city where we do not have city organized recycling, we have citizens that even when the a resident run center ( http://www.recyclehere.net/) is closed, they still came on the holiday weekend because you can't stop them from recycling!

They tend to travel solo, but have the keen ability to spread their pessimistic attitude to a group of unsuspecting bystanders and encourage others to employ their mindset. Naysayers tend to blend in with those around them rather well, granted they have learned over the years to adapt to their surroundings. However, when the opportunity arises, their true nature will be exposed and they will stop at nothing to exclude others or bring a general sense of negativity to any situation.
